ZELDA welcomes new intern to its team

Starting with April 2012 ZELDA  welcomed an intern from Azerbaijan-Naila Kirimova- within the Human Rights and Governance Grants Program of the Open Society Foundations.Naila has a law degree from the Baku State University and obtained an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest in 2010. In 2008 she was an intern with the Prosecutor Office and Court of First Instance in Baku and in 2009, during her studies in Budapest, she was also accepted for an internship with the Mental Disability Advocacy Center (MDAC). In 2009 Naila was awarded a Council of Europe scholarship to participate in trainings on bringing a claim to the European Court of Human Rights. She is fluent in English and Russian and has a basic knowledge of German. Naila is a scout leader in her home country and also enjoys playing the violin, singing and dancing. For 3  months her work with ZELDA will mainly involve a comparative research on reasonable accommodation in employment and education for people with mental disabilities.
